PULSE
The PULSE project, co-funded from the EC Horizon 2020 programme call topic “Big Data supporting public health policies” and Government of Taiwan, has been successfully completed in 2020 after 42 months, demonstrating in a real environment in 7 global cities (Barcelona, Birmingham, New York, Paris, Pavia, Singapore, and Taipei) the transformation of the public health system from reactive to predictive. The multidisciplinary Consortium achieved to have a final integrated system composed from heterogeneous connected modules and artefacts (apps, Big Data Store, wearable activity trackers, IoT environmental sensors, satellite maps, AI models and simulators…) deployed and used in a broad context of Public Health in various urban policies (HiAP) and gained additional insights and collected valuable live data on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic mitigation policies and measures (like lockdowns or physical distancing).

City4Age project
City4Age (Elderly-friendly city services for active and healthy ageing) creates an innovative framework that can be deployed by European cities – ICT-enhanced early detection of risk related to frailty and MCI, as well as ICT enhanced intervention that can help the elderly population to improve their daily life and also promote positive behaviour changes. It is a European project co-funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission that will activate urban communities to facilitate the role of social/health services and of families in dealing with mild cognitive impairments (MCI) and frailty in the elderly population.

MOEEBIUS project
MOEEBIUS (Modelling Optimization of Energy Efficiency in Buildings for Urban Sustainability) introduces a Holistic Energy Performance Optimization Framework that enhances current modelling approaches and delivers innovative simulation tools which deeply grasp and describe real-life building operation complexities in accurate simulation predictions that significantly reduce the “performance gap” and enhance multi-fold, continuous optimization of building energy performance as a means to further mitigate and reduce the identified “performance gap” in real-time or through retrofitting.
