PERISCOPE (Pan-European Response to the ImpactS of COVID-19 and future Pandemics and Epidemics) the three-year development-research project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, officially launched on November 1st 2020. The project coordinator is the University of Pavia (Italy), and with 30 other partner organizations (institutes, universities, professional bodies…) across Europe, Belit participates primarily in the development, implementation and maintenance of the envisioned Covid Atlas, and necessary infrastructure services for data collection and management within Work Pack 4, including data model concepts, architecture, consolidation and fusion of data from heterogeneous sources, and interactive analytical tools for visualization. We also aim to further develop and improve interactive and instructive “gaming” web and mobile applications, based on valuable experiences and solutions achieved in PULSE and related projects.
