Full project name: BECA – Balanced European Conservation Approach – ICT services for resource saving in social housing
BECA project pilot sites where located in 7 cities in 7 countries. Belgrade was the only pilot site outside of EU.
Belit developed ICT-based services, usable directly by tenants of the buildings, for Resource Management (RMS) and Resource Use Awareness (RUAS) enabling them to monitor and plan their usage of key resources. This resulted in sustained reductions in consumption of those resources.
Resources User Awareness Solution (RUAS)
The tenants can be made aware of their energy and water consumption in near real time in different ways. By monitoring their own consumption, tenants see the impact of their everyday actions on their energy consumption (and bills) and adopt a more energy efficient behavior.
Resource Management Service (RMS)
It includes the different services for housing managers by providers to improve the energy management in a set of dwellings. The provider of RMS can monitor precisely the energy consumptions and performances of the equipped flats and houses. This allows for further improvement on the energy consumption of a building.
The project helped Europe meet emission targets by achieving a significant reduction of energy consumption in European social housing.
